We ate at this restaurant on our final evening in Cairo. It offers a buffet style restaurant with a good selection of salad and cold meats and fish, and hot dishes. I guess it's reasonable value for money if you are hungry and looking to eat three courses. However, if like me you can't eat a big meal and are only after a small plate of salad and a glass of water then it's really rather outrageously expensive. Left a rather sour note to the end of my stay here in Cairo. Hence only two stars.
Great place with wonderful ambience, attentive service, and beautiful decoration. I visited for the New Year’s Eve buffet and was disappointed with the vegan options, which were mostly cold. There was perhaps one pasta as a hot option and a grilled pineapple for dessert. Considering it’s a five-star hotel and the vegan menu was priced the same as the meat menu, I expected more variety and creativity. Additionally, some guests were smoking in the hall, and the smell was unpleasant, which affected the overall experience. With a bit more attention to both the menu and the atmosphere, this could easily match the high standard expected from such a venue.
For Egyptian food lovers ..this is an amazing breakfast place as well. Great traditional Egyptian food like “foul, taameya, feteer meshaltet, baladi bread” All served in a beautiful atmosphere with a unique Nile view. Service is warm and friendly and very attentive.
We had the ala carte instead of the buffet which we found to be more appealing. The chicken shawarma and lamb was cooked perfectly and the complimentary dessert Om Ali was delicious.
We had a lovely dining experience at Zitouni. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with beautiful views that added to the overall charm. Service was attentive throughout our meal. The food was good – smooth, flavourful hummus and a deliciously spiced Hawawshi really stood out. The mixed grill was also tasty and well-prepared. While the desserts were a bit underwhelming overall, the chocolate knafe was a standout and absolutely worth trying. A solid spot for a refined Egyptian meal with great service and ambiance!
